WESTERN BULLDOGS

Red, white and blue,
We come out snarling,
Bulldogs through and through..."

Officially the Footscray Football Club, the club that would become the Western Bulldogs started out with serious credentials winning no less than 9 premierships in the Victorian Football Assocation (VFA) between 1989 and 1924.

In recent years the Bulldogs have stood out as a team that plays with an unusually high level of attack and skill – a style of play that saw it reach the semi-finals in 2006 and the preliminaries in 2008 and 2009.

This year the club has already won the NAB Cup and with the powerhouse presence of Barry Hall, is well placed to win the 2010 AFL Premiership.
