ST.GEORGE REDS

With roots back to 1876, Queensland rugby has always "punched above its weight". In the first interstate match between Queensland and NSW in 1882, Queensland won by 12-11. Queensland then went on to beat Great Britain by 11-3.

In the fiercely-fought Super 10 competitions of the mid 1990's Queensland was almost unbeatable, being crowned champions over two consecutive years - 1994 and 1995.

Once again in this year's Super 15, the St.George Reds, who count among their ranks, all-time greats such as John Eales, Andrew Slack, Tim Horan, Jason Little , Michael Lynagh,and more recently, Will Genia and Quade Cooper, are chasing Finals glory.
