Wallabies recruit from a squad of 22,000,000 Australians to take on the world!

On what was a momentous day yesterday with the ARU’s announcement of their 30 man World Cup squad the team is now recruiting from 22,000,000 Australians to help them take on the world in New Zealand this September.
Australian sports apparel supplier and Wallabies sponsor KooGa and team sponsor Blackberry have today also announced the squad of elite sports people of past and present who are backing the Wallabies for this years World Tournament. Australian sports celebrities including Olympic Gold Medalist Stephanie Rice, Brownlow Medalist Jason Akermanis, Former Australian Cricket Captain Allan Border, V8 Racecar Driver Rick Kelly, ASP Tour Professional Surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, Australia’s Strongest Man Warrick “the real deal” Brant, QLD Bulls cricket team, Australian Professional Boxer Michael Katsidis, Triple M Radio Personality, former Wallaby Greg ‘Marto’ Martin, iconic Aussie skater Corbin Harris and Former Australian Test Cricketers Jason Gillespie, Darren Lehmann and Michael Kasprowicz have all come on board to proudly ‘Back the Wallabies’ and spearhead what is going to be the largest supporters squad for the Australian Rugby Union team.
Australians have a great heritage of banding together to support the nations sporting teams. Transcending sport code loyalty this campaign encourages Australians from all sporting backgrounds to ‘Back the Wallabies’ as they prepare to compete on the world stage in New Zealand.
Everyday Australians are invited to join the squad and win weekly prizes from KooGa and Blackberry by simply becoming part of an interactive online team photo mosaic which can be accessed by logging on to the supporter’s hub at www.backthewallabies.com.au. Supporters are invited to upload their image of support and also personalize their purchased Rugby World Cup jerseys here free of charge.
