Shopping centre giant Harbour Town tackles the summer season head on with their newest retail recruit - KooGa.
Sports apparel powerhouse KooGa this week opens its first retail shop front at Harbour Town Gold Coast, joining a fresh line-up of fashion brands as the outlet shopping mecca heads into the summer season.
Harbour Town marketing manager, Sarah Hughes, says the new selection is the result of moves to constantly refresh and enhance the centre’s outlet and specialty shopping offer.
Born on the Gold Coast in 2000, KooGa has grown to be Australia’s top designer and manufacturer of team wear for the three football codes – AFL, rugby union and rugby league. 
The company is the official provider of apparel and gear for the Qantas Wallabies, world champion Kiwis New Zealand rugby league team, and leading teams including the Queensland Reds, ACT Brumbies, Western Bulldogs and Melbourne Storm.
“KooGa has experienced rapid growth over the past few years and we saw a need in the market for a KooGa retail outlet,” said Managing Director Tyron Brant.
To this point, KooGa gear has been sold through the company’s online store and in sporting goods stockists nationally and worldwide.
Next year, KooGa will be heading to the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand on the backs of players in seven teams, more than any other sports apparel company, Mr Brant said.
“Our new Harbour Town store, selling discounted stock as well as licensed pro team replica gear, KooGa team wear and KooGa accessories, will be the place for fans to show their colours and support their team.”
KooGa has taken a two-year lease on a shop that proudly opened its doors on Wednesday 1st December.
The KooGa retail store will be open 7 days:
- Mon to Wed: 9am – 5:30pm
- Thurs: 9am – 7pm
- Fri to Sat: 9am – 5:30pm
- Sun: 10am – 5pm
* Extended trading hours over the Christmas break.
